Nintendo Brain Age 2 Review
I don’t play games. Not because I don’t want to, but because I find it’s not a good use of my time. So how strange that I hold in my hand a brand new Crimson Red DS Lite loaded with the latest brain training offering from Nintendo, Brain Age 2. Brain Age 2 is Nintendo’s sequel to the popular Brain Age training program. Basically it’s similar to the original game although with different and more challenging games. This makes it ideal for people who played the first game and are looking for more. Like I said, the games in Brain Age 2 are more challenging than the previous game. For example, the math game has you continually add numbers where one of the previous numbers has been removed. This is more difficult than one would think, especially if you’re short term memory is low in reserve (mine is). The musical game plays a piece of simple music and has you follow along by selecting the proper keys on a keyboard. Those who are musically inclined will breeze through this. Here is a challenge, listen to 2-3 words spoken at the same time, then write down each of the words that you hear. Again, this can be harder than it sounds, pun intended. There are several other games in the Brain Age 2 collection, and I won’t go into all of them here. Suffice to say, if you enjoyed the original Brain Age you will no doubt find Brain Age 2 even more challenging learning tool. If you are new to Brain Age training, you’re in for a brain enlightening time.
